Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) 2018 important dates are here! Students studying in basic sciences and aspiring to pursue research career in science must appear in the Scholastic Exam to identify their Talent and Aptitude for their research career in Science.

In this article, we are going to provide students with the recently announced Important dates and relevant information pertaining to the KVPY 2018.

KVPY 2018 Important Dates:


KVPY Application process comprises of three basic steps that needs to be filled up by the student for successful completion of the procedure. The three basic steps are as follows:

  1. Registration

  2. Application Form

  3. Fee Payment

How to go about the Application Procedure for KVPY 2018?

To complete the KVPY 2018 Application process successfully, interested student will have to first:

  • get himself/herself registered online by visiting the website.

  • Once the registration process is over and the student gets his/her user ID and password, then the ‘Application Form’ needs to be filled up with personal and academic details – from selecting the test centre to uploading the Photo, signature and other certificates needs to be done in order to proceed to the ‘Fee Payment’ section.

  • In the next step, a student can make the Fee Payment through Credit Card/ ATM Debit Card or Net Banking. (Please note: No other means of Payment is accepted). Once the student has successfully made the Payment, he/she will be apprised with his/her Application Status.

The Application Fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs.1000/- and for candidates from SC / ST / PWD Category is Rs.500/- (Bank charges extra)

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is an on-going National Program of Fellowship in Basic Sciences, initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, to attract exceptionally highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research career in science.

The objective of the program is to identify students with talent and aptitude for research; help them realize their academic potential; encourage them to take up research careers in Science and ensure the growth of the best scientific minds for research and development in the country.
